optimizing thyroid function isn’t just about the thyroid gland itself.

it’s about creating conditions where cells can efficiently produce energy.

thyroid hormone works properly only when nutrition, stress, liver function, and metabolism support it.

but the thing with most people is… they believe that they’re doing everything right.

but in reality, they’re doing everything wrong.

many people simply try to cope with some supplements, believing that this gets their thyroid running.

without realising that they’re probably actually fucking up things even more.

if you want to get your metabolism running and produce thriving energy, optimising your thyroid is required.

here’s some testing you could do on yourself to know if your thyroid isn’t working properly:

1. Body Temperature (One of the Most Useful Signs)

Healthy metabolic range:

  • Morning (before getting out of bed): ~97.8–98.2°F (36.5–36.8°C)

  • Mid-afternoon: ~98.6°F (37°C)

Possible hypothyroid signs:

  • Morning temp below ~97.8°F

  • Temperature doesn’t rise much after eating

  • Feeling cold easily, especially hands and feet

Low thyroid → less energy production → lower heat production.

2. Resting Pulse

thyroid increases metabolic activity and heart rate.

typical healthy range:

  • 75–90 bpm at rest

Possible hypothyroid sign:

  • Consistently under ~70 bpm with other symptoms.

3. Common Symptoms of Low Thyroid

These often appear together:

Metabolism / energy

  • Constant fatigue

  • Brain fog

  • Low motivation

  • Needing lots of sleep but still tired

Temperature

  • Cold hands and feet

  • Cold intolerance

Skin & hair

  • Dry skin

  • Hair thinning or loss

  • Outer eyebrow thinning

Weight & digestion

  • Weight gain or difficulty losing weight

  • Slow digestion

  • Constipation

  • Bloating

Hormones

  • Low libido

  • PMS or irregular periods

  • Fertility issues

Mood

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Low stress tolerance

5. Other Signs

  • High cholesterol despite good diet

  • Slow wound healing

  • Puffy face

  • Hoarse voice

  • Edema / water retention

i can pretty much guarantee that you’re struggling with at least one of these.
